MP Soroka appointed to the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities

OTTAWA – Gerald Soroka, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, is pleased to announce that he has been appointed to the House of Commons standing committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities (TRAN). Prior to the prorogation, MP Soroka sat on the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food (AGRI).

MP Soroka stated, “I am very proud to have been appointed to this committee alongside my Conservative colleagues Shadow Minister for Transport Stephanie Kusie, MP Michael Kram and MP Doug Shipley.”

The Committee primarily studies the legislation, policies and programs, and other issues of national importance related to transportation, infrastructure, and Canadian cities and communities as well as the operations of Transport Canada and Infrastructure Canada.

MP Soroka looks forward to the important work ahead of this committee.
